Dismantling of a sub-Saharan criminal network in Oujda

Elements of the judicial police of Oujda arrested, Friday evening, four sub-Saharans suspected of being involved in a case related to human trafficking and the organization of irregular immigration operations.

The suspects, arrested during an operation by the judicial police service in Oujda, are suspected of being involved in detention, ransom demands, the organization of irregular immigration and human trafficking.

MoroccoLatestNews sources revealed that the suspects detained three irregular immigrants also from sub-Saharan African countries, two of them minors, while demanding a ransom in European currency, before searches and investigations led to their arrest. and the release of the victims.

The same sources added that the searches carried out in the context of this case showed that the suspects sheltered, in the same house used to detain the victims, other sub-Saharan minors, within the framework of an alleged criminal activity linked to a international network active in the organization of irregular immigration and human trafficking.

It should be noted that the suspects were placed under surveillance, while the alleged immigration candidates were subjected to a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, in order to reveal all the circumstances and details of this case, and to identify the possible ramifications of this criminal activity.
