
The Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, paid a field visit to the city of Meknes on Saturday to check the progress of cultural projects.
The Minister’s visit included the “Dar Al Bachaouate” conservatory and the “Hri Souani” archaeological site, which dates back to the time of Sultan Moulay Ismail and is undergoing restoration works.
Bensaid also went to the Child Protection Center to find out about the conditions of stay for minors and to ensure the quality of the services offered to them before heading to the “Wislan” women’s club, which provides important social and training services to women and girls in the region.
At the end of this visit, the Minister held a meeting with associations of the city, within the cultural complex “Fkih Lamnouni”, to discuss their projects and needs, and ways of partnership with the Ministry in order to to develop the services they offer to residents.
