Tunisia: Kais Saied dismisses his Minister of Foreign Affairs | MoroccoLatestNews French

Tunisian President Kais Saied on Tuesday (February 7th) sacked his Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Othman Jerandi.

A press release from the Tunisian Presidency specifies that the former head of Tunisian diplomacy will be replaced by Nabil Ammar, who was Tunisia’s ambassador in Brussels and its representative to the European Union.

It should be noted that a mini-ministerial reshuffle marked by the appointment of two new ministers was carried out recently by the Tunisian President.

This reshuffle, the second change of its kind since the formation of Najla Bouden’s government in October 2021, affected the Minister of Education Fathi Slaousi who was replaced by Mohamed Ali Boughdiri and the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and maritime fishing, which was entrusted to Abdelmoneim Belati to replace Mahmoud Ilyes Hamza.

In addition, the Tunisian Minister of Trade and Export Development, Fadhila Rabhi Ben Hamza, was also dismissed from her post on January 7th.
