On the occasion of the FIFA Club World Cup matches in the capital of the Kingdom, the municipality of Rabat announced “a ban on the circulation of all means of transport on February 4, 8 and 11, on National Road No. 1 at the level of the section between Bni Mtaa (Casablanca motorway deviation).
The ban, which will last six hours before the start of the matches and four hours after their start, for cars going from the city of Rabat to the city of Temara in both directions, specifies the commune of Rabat in a provisional decision note dated Thursday, February 2.
This provisional decision n°22, issued by the municipality of Rabat, specifies that ” the ban on February 4 will begin at nine-thirty (9:30 a.m.) in the morning and end at seven-thirty (7:30 p.m.), while for the day of February 8, it will take effect at two (2:00 p.m.) and will last until at midnight (00:00). For the day of February 11, the ban will start at ten o’clock in the morning (10 a.m.) and will end at midnight.
Are excluded from the same decision, subject to presentation of the match ticket, “ cars coming from the city of Rabat and heading towards the north car park of the Moulay Abdallah Sports Complex – gates 2 to 15 ” and ” cars coming from the city of Temara towards the south car park of the Complexe Sportif Moulay Abdallah – gates 16 to 24, always subject to the availability of match tickets “.
It should be remembered that Morocco hosts the Club World Cup, which is held from February 1 to 11. Taking part in this World Cup will be Wydad Casablanca, reigning African champions, Real Madrid, winners of the European Champions League, Flamengo, who won the Copa Libertadores, Seattle Sounders, winners of the CONCACAF Champions League, and Auckland which won the OFC Champions League (Oceania).
