The RNI in the lead in several municipalities

One year and 4 months after the ballot for the municipal elections of September 8, 2021, partial elections for 43 seats were scheduled for February 16 in 43 constituencies belonging to 41 municipalities. And it is the RNI which leads these elections which come after the invalidation of the seats won by 8 political parties.

Thus, the municipal and House of Councilors by-elections which took place yesterday, Thursday 16 February, marked the rise of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) party on the political scene, after its candidates succeeded in win several seats in the constituencies where they ran.

In the Souss-Massa region, partial elections were held in the regions of Agadir Ida-Outanane and Taroudannt, which the RNI party was able to win.

At the level of the Aourir commune, affiliated to the prefecture of Agadir Ida-Outanane, the Rniste candidate, Mohamed Timias, won the elections in constituency n°9. The results of the elections reveal that the latter came first with 215 votes, followed by the candidate of the Istiqlal Party with 146 votes.

At the level of the elections of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Aziz Bousleikhan, from the city of Agadir, was able to win the elections, which allows him to obtain a seat in the second chamber of Parliament.

In the town of Taroudannt, by-elections were held in constituency No. 7 of the municipality of Tisrasse, won by the RNI party with 181 votes, followed by the Democratic and Social Movement Party with 5 votes.

As for the seat reserved for women in the commune of Toughmart, in the province of Taroudannt, it was won by Hanane Ait Abbou, of the National Rally of Independents, with 109 votes, against 10 votes for the candidate of the Socialist Union Party. popular forces (USFP).

In the Taounate region, partial elections were held in the commune of Ras El Oued, led by the Rniste candidate, Lahcen Lkour, with 186 votes, followed by the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) candidate with 28 votes.

In the same region, partial elections were held at the level of the Messassa commune, also led by an RNI candidate with 307 votes, followed by the candidate of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) with 24 votes.

The RNI also obtained more than 80% of the votes in the commune of Dar El Shafei in the province of Settat.
