The Spanish defender, member of PASG, Sergio Ramos, announced on Thursday that he was ending his international career, after many years of good and loyal service with La Roja.
In a farewell message to the Spanish selection, Ramos expressed his regrets for a trip ” that he hoped for longer”.
“The time has come, the time to say goodbye to the national team, to our dear and exciting Roja. This morning I received a call from the current coach who told me that he does not count and that he will not count on me, regardless of the level I can show or how I continue my career. With great regret, this is the end of a journey that I had hoped would be longer and would end with a better taste in our mouths, on par with all the successes we have achieved with our national team”, wrote Ramos.

“I will continue to encourage my country from home with the emotion of the privileged who was able to proudly represent it 180 times. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who have always believed in me!” , he added
