Over half a million visitors to the Prophet and Islamic Civilization exhibition

The number of visitors to the International Exhibition and Museum of the Sirah of the Prophet and Islamic Civilization, which is currently being held at the headquarters of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) in Rabat, has exceeded half a million in just two months since its official inauguration by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan.

Placed under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI, this exhibition has seen, since its opening to the public on November 28, 2022, a growing influx of visitors of all ages from different Moroccan cities, as well as residents and guests of the Kingdom, indicates the ‘ICESCO in a statement posted on its electronic portal.

“It is a destination for those who want to get to know the noble Sirah of the Prophet (peace and salvation be upon him) up close, walking through the different pavilions and sections of the exhibition which use the latest display techniques, take the visitor virtually at this time and address the mind and conscience by presenting documented and verified encyclopedic information about the Prophet (PBUH)”, notes ICESCO.

Several visitors expressed their great admiration for the exhibition, which simulates in detail the life of the Prophet (PBUH) using augmented reality techniques. They said the visit is a virtual spiritual journey through time, allowing them to explore the characteristics of the Sirah in a simplified way, it is reported. The holding of the exhibition and the international museum of the Sirah of the Prophet and of Islamic civilization at the headquarters of ICESCO constitutes the culmination of the strategic partnership between the Organization, the Islamic World League and the Rabita Mohammadia of Ulemas of the Kingdom from Morocco.

This first version of its kind outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is part of ICESCO’s mission to highlight the civilizational aspects of the Sîrah of the Prophet, to promote the golden mean of Islam and to fight against extremism, based on the Holy Quran and the noble Sunnah and using artificial intelligence techniques.

The exhibition and the International Museum of the Sirah of the Prophet and of Islamic Civilization at the headquarters of ICESCO are open free of charge to the general public, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., every day except Monday.
