Nouakchott hosts the Moroccan-Mauritanian Economic Forum at the end of February

This announcement was made during a meeting held on Wednesday in Nouakchott between the Ambassador of the Kingdom to Mauritania, Hamid Chabar and the President of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers, Mohamed Zine El Abidine Ould Cheikh during which the accent was put on the preparations for this event which will see the participation of a large number of Moroccan companies, as well as on the means of strengthening trade and economic exchanges between the two countries and consolidating the investment climate.

In this context, the two parties also emphasized the important role played by the employers’ organizations of the two countries in promoting trade through the signing of cooperation agreements, investment and exchange and l organization of economic forums.

They welcomed the support of the public authorities for the efforts to develop trade between Morocco and Mauritania.

In the same vein, the President of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers praised the efforts made to promote the private sector in the two countries, overcome the various obstacles and strengthen investment opportunities.

For his part, Chabar praised the quality of the distinguished relations between Mauritania and Morocco and the role played by the private sector in promoting trade and investment in the two countries.
