Moroccan Jamal El Karkouri stands out again internationally

Few Moroccan architects have managed to give their careers international fame. This is also the case of the architect and founder of the EJ Agency, Jamal El Karkouri, who has just received two awards at the IPAX Global and International Property Awards, organized in early February in London.

The professional career of Architect-Designer Jamal El Karkouri is characterized by a foreign course carried out in Germany, combining innovation and technology, whose spatial reflection translates into a functional and modern language.

An award ceremony was organized in Dubai as part of the British architecture competition of the International Property Awards 2022. Jamal El Karkouri, Moroccan architect founder of the EJ agency, was awarded the first prize for his project of the “Danone Central Agro-food Factory” in Meknes, in the “Industrial and agri-food factories” category, thus constituting the third prize of his career.

It is thanks to his talent that the Moroccan architect Jamal El Karkouri was able to easily convince various international juries of the excellence and meticulousness of his projects. The founder of the EJ agency won the “Diwan Award Berlin” in 2017, in the architecture category. The Diwan Awards being a considerable event in view of the world of Architecture, it rewards the professional achievements of German-Moroccan skills, allowing in this sense, to set an example for the younger generations.

The second prize won by Jamal El Karkouri was the “African Property Awards”. This was won in London in 2020 in the category of cultural and leisure projects for the “Théâtre et Complexe Culturel de Kénitra” project. It should be noted that his agency having competed alongside representatives of 25 countries, and has been able to fully distinguish itself.

The experiences and skills that Jamal El Karkouri has accumulated since the start of his career have enabled him to carry out many large-scale projects in several sectors, namely cultural, industrial, sports, tourism, residential or urban planning.

The renowned architect has also won prizes for other architectural projects on a continental scale in Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, and even Gabon, which are in progress.
