Marrakech hosts the 2nd edition of Morocco Fashion Week

After a first edition full of colors and creations, the MFW – Maroc Fashion Week announces its second edition, scheduled from March 8 to 12, 2023 in Marrakech, in partnership with M Avenue, the essential lifestyle destination of the ocher city.

This solid partnership between two institutions committed to the service of the influence of the Kingdom is the guarantee of a strong and lasting anchoring, underline the initiators.

Morocco Fashion Week is now a bi-annual event, part of the international fashion week agenda. For a few exceptional days, Marrakech will be the international capital of fashion, thus reviving its tradition as a temple of creativity.

Fashion shows on March 10 in the setting of M Avenue

Faithful to its desire to be long-term and to be a real transmission lever, the MFW is organizing a competition for young designers, the winner of which will have the opportunity to present their creations during a fashion show in Paris.

This competition is organized in partnership with the Casa Moda, Collège Lasalle and ESCOM fashion design and model schools.

The MFW – Maroc Fashion Week will have the honor of hosting the Academia Moda school in Nazareth and its founder, Palestinian Saher Okal, who will be a member of the jury alongside Moroccans Saïd Mahrouf and Zineb Joundy as well as Egyptian fashion designer, Hany El Behairy.

For this second edition, the MFW – Maroc Fashion Week joins forces with Riad la Brillante, nestled in the heart of the Medina where traditional craftsmanship and modern lines combine with harmony and elegance.

On March 9, 10 and 11, 2023, caftans and works of art will be exhibited there. This exhibition, in collaboration with the “Dar Lmâalma” association, was designed as a tribute to the know-how of Moroccan craftswomen to celebrate International Women’s Rights Day.

A gala dinner will take place within the walls of the legendary Royal Mansour palace on Saturday March 11, 2023 and will be preceded by a parade of creations by big names in fashion from several regions of the globe. The profits from this dinner will be donated to Atlas Kinder, an association that oversees, among other things, the education of orphaned children.
