Morocco and the United Arab Emirates signed, on Tuesday in Dubai, on the sidelines of the World Summit of Governments, a bilateral cooperation agreement in the field of higher education.
The agreement, which was initialed by the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Abdellatif Miraoui, and the Minister of Education of the United Arab Emirates, Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, aims to expand areas of cooperation and coordination, as well as opening up new perspectives for students to pursue their education in both countries.
The summit is attended by presidents, government officials, ministers, civil servants, heads of international organizations and companies, opinion leaders, global experts and eminent business leaders.
The program features more than 220 sessions in which more than 300 speakers, thought leaders, global experts and decision makers from around the world share their visions and discuss ideas and strategies for the future.
Miraoui underlined that Morocco has made substantial progress in the field of the development of higher education and the promotion of innovation and artificial intelligence, thanks to the enlightened vision of King Mohammed VI.
He added that in accordance with the High Royal Directives, the Moroccan University works to form the minds of students and not only load them with information by teaching young people learning methods and encouraging them to master languages.
In addition, the minister said that he spoke on the sidelines of this conclave with several Arab and foreign ministers to learn about international experiences in the field of education.
The current edition of the World Government Summit hosts a number of international forums and dialogues aimed at examining the most important global trends in vital sectors, in order to contribute to the development of government work and future policies and strategies.
