Turkish delegation to the CCIS-RSK: Common will to consolidate bilateral relations

As part of the strengthening of trade between Morocco and Turkey, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (CCIS-RSK), Hassan Sakhi, received this Thursday January 12, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eskişehir Industrial Zone, Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı, who was accompanied by a host of Turkish businessmen.

This meeting is part of the dynamics experienced by relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Turkey over the past decade. Just as it is an opportunity to explore new areas of cooperation and further strengthen the relations of cooperation and partnership between the business communities of the two countries.

Speaking on this occasion, Hassan Sakhi expressed his desire to further strengthen bilateral relations, in the sense that Morocco and Turkey maintain exceptional relations in several areas.

Due to its geographical position, Morocco constitutes a bridge between African markets and Turkey, said the head of the CCIS-RSK, inviting the Turkish side to seize the investment opportunities offered by Morocco, in particular the region of Rabat-Sale-Kenitra.

In this regard, he recalled that since the signing of the free trade agreement in 2004, trade has undergone a significant evolution: In 2021, Moroccan imports from Turkey exceeded 3.381 billion dollars, while Moroccan exports to Turkey posted only 800 million dollars.

With a view to a better balance of the trade balance, it is imperative, he maintained, to explore new possibilities of diversification of the cooperation and to privilege the bilateral investment to the commercial exchanges.

For his part, Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı stressed that relations between Morocco and Turkey have always been excellent and promising, and that cooperation between Morocco and Turkey remains below the potential and opportunities offered by both sides. .

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eskişehir Industrial Zone affirmed his desire to diversify the partnership and raise it to the rank of excellence in political relations within the framework of win-win partnerships between Moroccan and Turkish economic operators as well. both in terms of trade and investment.

The head of the Turkish delegation reviewed the various activities present in the industrial zone of Eskisehir, emphasizing his desire to share the successful experiences of this smart city with Morocco.

At the end of this meeting, a trophy ceremony was organized and B to B meetings for the benefit of businessmen from both countries.
