President's Cup / Handball: The Moroccan selection bows against North Macedonia

The Moroccan handball team was beaten on Monday, January 23, by North Macedonia, at the 2023 World Championship co-organized by Sweden and Poland. This is their second loss in the President’s Cup.

In total, it is the 5th defeat of the Atlas Lions in handball in 6 games and only one victory. In the group stage of the World Cup, the national team lost to the United States (27-28), Egypt (19-30) and Croatia (24-36).

And the second defeat in the President’s Cup bringing together the teams eliminated from the group stage after a victory against Algeria. The previous defeat was against Tunisia with a score of 25 against 30 goals.

On Monday, Noureddine Bouhaddioui’s men lost 40-25 to North Macedonia on the third and final day of the 2023 World Championship ranking tournament.
