Saudi Arabia: Player and ambassador, Ronaldo will receive 400 million euros

Football star, Cristiano Ronaldo, signed for 2 and a half years with the Saudi club, Al-Nassr, should make his debut on January 22. As a player and ambassador of Saudi football, the five-time Ballon d’Or will receive some 400 million euros.

This tidy sum includes his salary in the club, i.e. 200 million euros, and “200 others” to be the “ambassador” of the joint candidacy that Saudi Arabia plans to submit with Greece and Egypt to organize the Cup of the world in 2030.

The 37-year-old striker, who arrived in Riyadh last week, is by far the most famous player to join a Gulf team.

The signing of this star, passed by Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s desire to attract attention to its championship and promote its football.
