26-year-old Mohammed Jaraya or “The Destroyer” is accused of drug trafficking, weapons and money laundering, after he had just announced his return to the ring for the “Glory” scheduled for February 11 2023 in Essen, Germany.

This arrest was announced by the Dutch media who claim that the kickboxer was recently intercepted by the police and remanded in custody.

According to the same sources, Jaraya was threatened by a criminal gang following the theft of a large quantity of cocaine which took place in the town of Den Bosch. The young Moroccan had already been targeted in a gymnasium where he trained and twice in a store belonging to his father, before he was forced to sell it.

However, the Dutch authorities refused to provide details of the case. On the other hand, the same media confirmed that Jaraya was arrested at his home last Thursday, where he was brought before a judge who ordered that he be taken into custody until February 1.

In addition, the international kickboxing organization “Glory” has announced that it has canceled the fight, which was scheduled for February 11, against German kickboxer Chris Wunn who will face a new opponent.

Jaraya had his last fight in December 2019, when he defeated his opponent Masaru Glander of the Moluccas Islands, at Gelderrom Stadium in Arnhem.
