King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and compassion to the family of the late great artist Khadija Assad.
In this message, the Sovereign said he learned with great emotion and deep sorrow the sad news of the death of the great artist Khadija Assad, may God have her in His holy mercy.
“In this painful circumstance, We express to you, and through you, to all of your family and loved ones, to the national artistic family of the deceased and to all her friends and admirers, Our deep condolences and Our sincere feelings of compassion following the disappearance of one of the icons of the Moroccan screen, recognized for her immense talent and her performance in several great theatrical, television and cinematographic works, particularly those interpreted in the company of her husband and traveling companion, the late Abdelaziz Saadallah, and who marked the local artistic scene and remained engraved in the memory and the heart of the Moroccan public »writes the King.
The Sovereign implores the Most High to amply recompense the deceased for the laudable services she has rendered to art and to her country, to surround her with His holy mercy, to welcome her into His vast paradise and to give his family patience and comfort.
