Football star Pelé dies at 82

Brazilian football legend King Pelé died on Thursday at the age of 82. The soccer star has won a record 3 World Cups during his career.

Considered the king of football in Brazil, Pelé was one of the greatest footballing legends of the last century still alive. His family confirmed his death, after a battle with illness and hospitalization for several months.

Pelé, one of the best football players the world has known alongside Maradona, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, was known for his agility and elegance of play compared to dancing steps.

According to various sources, he would have played 1281 matches for two decades, including 650 in the league after being the youngest player in the World Cup in 1958 when he was only 17 years old.
