Ait Taleb highlights the free health services offered to ex-Ramedists

The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Ait Taleb, indicated on Monday that “the operation to transition citizens benefiting from the Medical Assistance Scheme (RAMED) to compulsory health insurance (AMO) has carried out systematically since December 1, 2022”, underlining the free health services and care offered to people who benefited from RAMED.

In his response to an oral question to the House of Representatives, the Minister explained that there should be no change at this level, noting that those who benefited from these services must continue to have them. “The data that was transferred from the National Health Insurance Agency (ANAM) to the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) had certain shortcomings,” he noted, adding that the ministry carried out periodic correspondence to preserve the achievements of citizens who have renewed their previous “RAMED” cards.

He further indicated that the ministry has issued a circular urging hospitals to continue providing free services to RAMED beneficiaries until further notice.
