The Moroccan people in jubilation all over the Kingdom

In the Kingdom, it is more than madness after the historic qualification of the Atlas Lions for the quarter-finals of this Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Morocco thus becomes the fourth African country to achieve this performance, after Cameroon (1990) Senegal (2004) and Ghana (2010) and the first Arab state to reach this stage of the competition.

However, in terms of feelings, never oh never have the Moroccan people been at such a party. Indeed, scenes of jubilation were recorded throughout the country after Morocco’s historic qualification for the quarter-finals of the World Cup and this, on all the main avenues of the cities “declared dead cities” two hours and more during the qualifying time. In the working-class neighborhoods, it is clear that the population came out en masse to celebrate an event that will undoubtedly remain in the annals of national football, but not only since the main boulevards of the great cities of the Kingdom have been taken over.

Also, we can say without a shadow of a doubt, that scenes of jubilation brought together hundreds of thousands of people on our main avenues of our major cities and villages in our Kingdom to celebrate the success of the Atlas Lions. against Spain’s La Roja. The supporters of theAtlas lionswomen, children and men have swept all over Morocco, and especially in the main boulevards and avenues of the capital Rabat and the economic metropolis Casablanca.

We are proud of our country, we believe in the final, the path is beautiful and long. some will say while others fearing overflows hope not to see any slippage (smoke etc.) which at this stage should not really harm the party though. Moreover, for this purpose, many police officers were present on the spot to counter any overrun, which for the time being has not been reported as the atmosphere was good-natured, patriotic and without incivility.

The Moroccan fans, not to say the Moroccans, let their joy erupt, as evidenced by videos on social networks where we see just after the final whistle of the Argentinian referee Fernando Rapallini who, let us remember, had refereed the first meeting of the Atlas Lions against the Croatian team, on November 23, which also ended in a draw (0-0) a mass of citizens took over the streets, avenues and boulevards of the cities of Tangier in Lagouira to celebrate the performance and the exceptional level shown by the players of the national team during this important match which saw Morocco win on penalties after a goalless draw (3-0).

Supporters, armed with national flags and dressed in the colors of the national team, sang songs to celebrate this deserved qualification of the Atlas Lions to the quarter-finals of the Qatar World Cup 2022.
