Qualification of Morocco: Congratulations from the President of the IMA

After their historic qualification on Tuesday evening in the quarter-finals of the Qatar 2022 World Cup at the expense of Spain, the Atlas Lions are congratulated from all over the world.

Their victory, thus considers the president of the Arab World Institute (IMA), Jack Lang, constitutes a victory for Morocco, but also a “triumph” for the Arab world and the whole of Africa.

“It is the Arab world as a whole and also Africa that feels immense collective pride”, following this “dazzling” victory for the Moroccan selection, argued the former French Minister of Culture.

Welcoming “King Mohammed VI’s personal commitment to youth, culture, sport and the future”, Lang affirmed that “this triumph is a consecration of the spiritual power of the Sovereign’s reign”.

This Moroccan victory, he added, contributes to the international influence of a modern and future-oriented Morocco, which invests “enormously” in its youth and in the promotion of sports and culture.

He, in this sense, praised the performance of the Moroccan players, who were “masterful and absolutely remarkable” against a “formidable” Spanish selection, world champion in 2010.
