Qatar 2022: Lions qualification drains $25 million from FRMF's coffers

In addition to the immense joy brought to the populations, the qualification of the Atlas Lions in the semi-finals of the World Cup, will make it possible to bail out the coffers of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) by draining some 25 million dollars.

In fact, the jackpot that Walid Regragui’s men will win will vary according to their ranking. If they finish 3rd, it will be 27 million dollars, which will become 30 if they finish 2nd and 42 million if the Moroccan team succeeds in winning the Cup.

Note that FIFA will distribute a total of 440 million dollars to the 32 teams that participated in the final stages of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Thus, the teams eliminated in the round of 16 will receive 13 million dollars, while those who lost in the quarters will pocket 17 million dollars.
