Free medical campaign organized in a municipality of Taza

A total of 2,287 people, from the commune of Ouled Zbayare (province of Taza), benefited from the services of a multidisciplinary medical campaign, organized this weekend.

Organized by the province of Taza in partnership with the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity and the “Urgent Action” Association and the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection, this action is part of efforts to strengthen the health offer and to support the most vulnerable social strata, particularly with regard to maternal and child health and school health.

This operation takes place in application of the program of medical campaigns of local services, provided for the benefit of the inhabitants of rural areas targeted by the program of the provincial committee for human development (CPDH) of the province of Taza.

Supervised by specialized medical and nursing staff including doctors, pharmacists and technicians, this caravan focused on consultations in general medicine, ophthalmology, obstetrics gynecology and pediatrics.

On this occasion, some 2,287 consultations were carried out, including 298 in internal medicine, 102 in pediatrics, 73 in gynecology, 66 in pulmonology, 223 in ophthalmology and 183 in dentistry. The campaign also made it possible to carry out 105 radiology examinations, 232 biological analyzes and 298 screenings for diabetes and hypertension.

Some 56 students also benefited from vision correction and visual rehabilitation. It was proceeded, on this occasion, to the distribution of free drugs with a total financial value estimated at 160,000 dirhams.

This caravan, which also experienced surgical interventions for the benefit of 60 beneficiaries, aimed in particular to provide local medical services to needy groups in rural areas.
