Christophe Lecourtier officially successor to Le Gal in Morocco

It is now official. The managing director of Business France, Christophe Lecourtier, has just been appointed new ambassador to Morocco to succeed Hélène Le Gal, who has not been in post since September.

“After 5 years as CEO of Business France, my mandate is coming to an end. The President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron, the Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna have appointed me Ambassador of the French Republic to the Kingdom of Morocco”, announced Christophe Lecourtier on his Twitter account.

The former managing director of Business France, responsible for developing French companies internationally, had to interrupt his mandate which ran until 2025 to take up the post of ambassador in Rabat, vacant since the appointment elsewhere of the ambassador Helene LeGal.

The appointment of the French ambassador to Morocco was proposed during the Council of Ministers on November 23. Recall that the new ambassador had already held a similar position in Australia.
