Younes Sekkouri in Kinshasa carrying a royal message to President Tshisekedi

the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Younes Sekkouri, was received Friday in Kinshasa by the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi, to whom he delivered a message from King Mohammed VI.

According to the Congolese presidency, this audience, held in the presence of the Moroccan ambassador in Kinshasa, Rachid Agassim, was an opportunity for the Moroccan minister to underline that “the Kingdom maintains excellent relations with the DRC thanks in particular to the friendship between the leaders of the two States”.

Regarding the security situation in the eastern part of the DRC, Mr. Sekkouri indicated that HM the King “holds firmly to the principles of sovereignty and integrity” for which the Sovereign “is intransigent”, underlines the presidency on his account twitter official.

Moreover, notes the Congolese news agency ACP, which quotes a source from the presidency, the exchanges between the Congolese Head of State and the Moroccan minister were an opportunity “to also review the excellent relations existing between the two countries, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, between King Mohammed VI and President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi”.

And the same source points out that diplomatic and historical relations between the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Kingdom of Morocco have “always been in good shape”.

As a reminder, Younes Sekkouri was also received on Thursday in Libreville by the Gabonese President, Ali Bongo Ondimba, to whom he delivered a message from the King.
