Considered the two best players of the decade, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have again exploded all the counters, this time on Instagram, after posing for Louis Vuitton’s latest campaign, on the occasion of the 2022 World Cup .
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are used to breaking records on and off the pitch. The Man United player and the PSG player caused a stir, both posting their photo on their Instagram accounts playing chess on a Louis Vuitton briefcase.
Ronaldo’s post quickly racked up over 30 million likes, while Messi’s post lagged slightly at 24.5 million in 24 hours.
While Messi and Ronaldo have joined forces for the campaign, they could face off for their country next month if fate pits Argentina against Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar. The teams could meet in the round of 16 if both progress from the group stage in what looks to be their last World Cup each.
