Morocco’s Bouchra Hajij was unanimously re-elected for a second term as head of the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) on the first day of its congress, held on November 28 and 29 in Casablanca.

Hajij, president of the Royal Moroccan Volleyball Federation, was re-elected for a second term (2024-2028) after the vote of the 54 members of the African Confederation of the discipline.

The CAVB congress saw the promulgation of the new status of the African body.

The conclave was also an opportunity to present the activities of the president and the executive office, particularly in terms of good governance, organization of sporting events, rehabilitation of infrastructure and training.

The CAVB congress was also marked by the presence of the president of the International Volleyball Federation, Ary Garcia, who highlighted the efforts made to develop the practice of this discipline at the African level since the election of Hajij to the head of the African confederation in 2020.
