Some 110 leaders and Heads of State and Government will make national statements on how climate change issues are being addressed and their countries’ plans to scale up their emission reduction commitments.

The Summit offers the opportunity to examine the means of mobilizing financial resources and investments in order to face climate change, by reducing emissions, to adapt to its consequences and to strengthen the resilience of countries.

The contribution of rich countries to the financing of climate action is among the priorities of COP 27. This is the case with the realization of the promise of 100 billion dollars each year coming from the financing of adaptation, from developed countries towards low-income countries.

The examination of the effects of climate change in Africa, the establishment of visions to face these challenges through science and financing are also among the axes of this Conference.
