Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan inaugurated, Thursday at the headquarters of the Organization of the Islamic World for Education, Science and Culture (ICESCO) in Rabat, the international exhibition and the Museum of the Sira Annabaouia (life of the Prophet ) and Islamic civilization.
After cutting the symbolic ribbon, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan went to the Hall of “Islamic Solidarity”, where ICESCO Director General Salim Mohamed Al-Malik delivered a word of welcome in which he emphasized the importance of this international exhibition which has taken up residence in Rabat, the cultural capital of the Islamic World for 2022, a first outside of Medina.
He also underlined that the organization of this event bears witness to the strong secular ties between the brotherly Kingdoms of Morocco and Saudi Arabia, under the wise leadership of King Mohammed VI and his brother King Salman Ibn Abdelaziz Al Saud.
Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan then began a visit to the exhibition, accompanied by the secretary of the Board of Directors of International Exhibitions and Museums of Sira Annabaouia and Islamic Civilization, Nasser Al-Zahrani, going first to the “King Hassan II” hall, may God rest his soul, to visit the “Sila” (Link) exhibition, organized by the Rabita Mohammadia des Oulémas, in testimony to the attachment of Moroccans to the august person of the Prophet.
Then, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan followed explanations on the different components of this exhibition, presented by the Secretary General of the Rabita Mohammadia des Oulémas, Ahmed Abbadi.
Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan then went to the hall of ICESCO headquarters where His Royal Highness reviewed the beauty of Arabic calligraphy and the work “Jewel of Islam”.
Then, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan headed to the “King Abdallah” room to visit the exhibition “The Prophet (PSL) as if you saw him”, where explanations were presented to His Royal Highness on the objects exposed.
Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan observed miniatures of “Mecca” and “Medina” at the time of the Prophet, before going to the lobby of ICESCO headquarters where the miniature of “the Kaaba” was exhibited.
Subsequently, His Royal Highness observed a reproduction of the “Minbar Annabaoui”, identical to the original in its manufacture, before following, in a virtual reality room, a projection on interactive screens representing, for the first time, “Al Houjra Annabaouia Acharifa” (the Prophet’s room) with all its components and contents.
Subsequently, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan posed for a souvenir photo with ICESCO executives before launching the official website of the international exhibition and the Museum of Sira Annabaouia and Islamic Civilization.
Upon his arrival, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was welcomed by Salim Mohamed Al-Malik, Director General of ICESCO.
After reviewing a detachment of the Royal Guard which was paying honours, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was greeted by the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Toufiq, the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa, Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Morocco, Abdullah Bin Saad Al Ghurairi, Wali of the Rabat-Salé region -Kenitra, governor of the prefecture of Rabat, Mohamed Yacoubi, president of the Council of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, Rachid El Abdi, president of the Council of the city of Rabat, Asmae Rhlalou, president of the Council of Agdal-Ryad district, Abdelilah El Bouzidi, the deputy secretary general of the Islamic World League, Abdulrahman Al-Zaid, the secretary general of the Rabita Mohammadia des Oulémas, Ahmed Abbadi, the president of the National Museums Foundation, Mehdi Qotbi, and the Director of Mashreq, the Gulf and Arab and Islamic Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, Fouad Akhrif.
