Portugal wins against Ghana (3-2)

Portugal beat Ghana, the last African nation to start in the 2022 World Cup, 3 goals to 0, this Thursday, November 24.

Portugal did not have an easy task against Ghana but could count on their players to make the difference. The first goal of the game was scored by Cristiano Ronaldo from the penalty spot (65′) in the second half.

Ronaldo becomes the first player to score in five consecutive World Cups. This is the 118th goal in selection for the Portuguese striker.

The equalizer is not long in coming from the Ghanaians who restart the match in the 73rd minute thanks to André Ayew.

The response of the Portuguese is not long in coming since the young prodigy Joao Felix will score a second goal for his selection, five minutes later. Rafael Léâo will triple the lead in the 80th minute.

Ghana doubled the advantage in the 89th minute with a goal signed by Osman Bugari (89′) which was not enough to beat the Portuguese who took a lead on this first meeting.
