Morocco largely dominates Georgia before entering the World Cup

The national team largely won against Georgia (3-0), this Thursday, November 17 at Sharjah Stadium in the United Arab Emirates, in a friendly preparation match for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Morocco scored three goals through players Youssef En-Nesyri in the 5th minute, Hakim Ziyech with a magnificent shot from midfield in the 29th minute, before Sofiane Boufal made it worse from the penalty spot in the 72nd minute.

The national team are in Group F of the 2022 World Cup and will start the competition with a match against Croatia next Wednesday at Al-Bayt Stadium, then they will meet Belgium on November 27 at Al-Thumama Stadium, t will conclude the first round with a confrontation with the Canadian selection on December 1, also at the Al-Thumama stadium”.

The friendly match against Georgia was an opportunity for the national coach, Walid Regragui, to check the readiness of all the players and to look for the ideal combination on which he will rely in the World Cup.

Regragui started the match with a line-up consisting of Yassin Bono (goalkeeper), Achraf Hakimi, Nayef Akrad, Ghanem Saïss and Yahya Attiatallah in defense, and Yahya Jabrane, Azzedine Ounahi, Selim Amallah, Hakim Ziyech, Soufiane Boufal and Youssef En -Nesyri in attack.

In the second half, Regragui fielded Noussair Mazraoui, Jawad Yamiq, Soufiane Amrabat, Ilias Chair, Abderrazak Hamdallah and Anas Zarouri.

Canada, which is in the same group as Morocco, also beat Japan 2-1 on Thursday in a friendly match at the “Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum” stadium in Dubai, while the Belgian selection will face his Egyptian counterpart Friday in Kuwait.
