Moroccan school wins Arabic Reading Challenge

Dubai: A Moroccan school awarded the Arabic Reading Challenge

The El Mokhtar Jazoulit school in Rabat was awarded as part of the Arabic Reading Challenge in Dubai. The institution thus won the “Distinguished School” prize, among 92,000 schools in different Arab countries.

El Mokhtar Jazoulit was crowned in the final of this competition by beating the schools “Attarbiya Al Ahliya” from Saudi Arabia and “Al Aahd Al Zaher” from the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The three finalist schools were chosen following a public vote (40%) and a decision of the final jury (60%).

Thus, the El Mokhtar Jazoulit school will receive a prize amounting to 1 million Emirati dirhams (272,294 euros), which will be invested in efforts to strengthen the culture of reading and learning among students.

Organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Global Initiatives, the Challenge aims to encourage a dynamic of reading and knowledge, consolidating the values ​​of communication, dialogue and openness to different cultures.

The competition consecrates reading and learning as a daily culture in the life of students and aims to promote the Arabic language and consolidate its role as a means of transmission, production and dissemination of knowledge.
