Another bad news for Walid Regragui as the World Cup in Qatar approaches. The coach of the Atlas Lions will have to do without the services of Anas Zniti, the doorman of Raja Casablanca, during the World Cup.
The international goalkeeper underwent appendicitis surgery on Tuesday in Casablanca. Usual third goalkeeper of the Atlas Lions must give up the World Cup. Victim of food poisoning on Friday the eve of Botola’s match against FUS Rabat, the 34-year-old had suffered from severe stomach aches.
Unavailable for a minimum of three weeks, Zniti should take the number three goalkeeper spot from Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti (Wydad Casablanca).
Walid Regragui’s business is not getting better less than three weeks before the World Cup in Qatar since Zniti is already the fourth player to withdraw after Tarik Tissoudali, Adam Masina and Imran Louza.
