The Morocco Stock Index 20 (MSI20), which reflects the price performance of the 20 most liquid companies, lost 0.86% to 859.40 points, and the Casablanca ESG 10, the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) benchmark index. ), fell 0.94% to 795.86 points.
Since the beginning of the year, these three indices have posted negative performances of -19.59%, -20.85% and -20.26% respectively.
At the end of this week, only 4 sectors of the 23 represented on the Casablanca coast finished in the green. These are the indices of engineering and industrial capital goods (+4.97%), leisure and hotels (0.89%), distribution (0.13%) and real estate investment companies (+ 0.03%).
On the losing side, the beverages sector (-6.12%) posted the biggest decline of the week, followed by the utilities sector (-5.92%) and the oil and gas sector (-3. 14%).
The overall volume of trade amounted to more than 3.12 billion dirhams (MMDH), including 349.32 million dirhams (MDH) made on the central equity market and 2.76 billion dirhams on the block equity market.
On the podium of the most active stocks are BMCI with a transactional volume of 87.07 MDH, Cosumar (35.46 MDH) and Itissalat Al-Maghrib (35.44 MDH).
Market capitalization amounted to 558.22 billion dirhams.
On the securities side, the best performances of the week were the work of CDM (+7.89%), Stroc Industrie (+5.41%), SMI (+4.78%), Delattre Levivier Maroc (+4, 61%) and Maghrebail (+3.56%).
On the other hand, the largest drops were recorded by Société des Boissons du Maroc (-7.80%), BMCI (-7.60%), Lydec (-5.92%), TotalElnergies Marketing Maroc (-5 .23%) and Salafin (-5.16%).
