The popular singer, Khadija El Bidaouia died last Saturday following a long illness, we learned from her family. In a message of condolences to his family and loved ones, King Mohammed VI saluted the memory of “an icon of Aïta Marsawiya”.
Recalling the brilliant artistic career of the late Khadija El Bidaouia, a pioneer of the art of Aïta Marsawiya and an icon of this popular musical heritage, the King hailed her contribution to the consolidation and safeguarding of this authentic art.
The Sovereign also underlined the great qualities of the late, her sincere patriotism and her loyalty to the Alawite Throne, praying to the Most High to surround her with His infinite mercy, to welcome her into His vast Paradise.
