Samir Jaouher wins the 13th Casablanca International Marathon

Moroccan Samir Jaouher won the 13th Casablanca International Marathon on Sunday, clocking 2:12:27.

Samir Jaouher beat his two compatriots Mustapha Haddadi (2:13:13) and Omar Chitachen (2:15:10).

In a statement to the press on this occasion, Samir Jaouher underlined that his victory in the Casablanca International Marathon “is the fruit of several months of intensive training”, adding that “the race was difficult”.

Among the women, Kenya’s Omyangui Jane Moraa Quizad came first, running the 42.195 km distance in 2:34:30, while 2nd place went to Morocco’s Keltoum Bouaasriya with a time of 2:34:46 ahead. the Kenyan Sang Chelangat (2:36:53).

The Mohammed V complex was the starting point and the end line of the course of the 13th Casablanca International Marathon, which is the result of an institutional partnership between the Wilaya of the Casablanca-Settat region, the municipality of Casablanca with in particular, the Royal Moroccan Federation of Athletics through the Casablanca league and the local development company “Casablanca Events & Animation”.

Organized under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, this sporting event offered three major events this year: the 42 km Marathon, the 21 km Half-Marathon and the 10 km Relay Race.
