Ronaldo kicked out of United's squad against Chelsea

Premier League: Ronaldo expelled from United group against Chelsea

Cristiano Ronaldo will not be on Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag’s squad list for Saturday’s Premier League game against Chelsea, the Red Devils announced on Thursday.

This decision comes in response to the 37-year-old’s decision to leave the stadium before the end of the match against Tottenham (2-0) on Wednesday. “Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of Manchester United’s squad for this Saturday’s Premier League game against Chelsea,” Manchester United wrote in a statement on Thursday.

“The rest of the team is fully focused on preparing for this match,” adds the same source. Ronaldo came off the bench and entered the tunnel in the 89th minute against Spurs on Wednesday after United made just three of the five substitutions allowed. He briefly entered the locker room before leaving the stadium.

Manager Erik ten Hag said afterwards that he would “deal with” the matter on Thursday.

On Sunday, CR7 also showed his displeasure after being substituted in the 0-0 home draw against Newcastle.
