
The Moroccan beach soccer selection won its ticket to the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) on Monday, which is being held from October 21 to 28 in Mozambique, after its 7-3 victory against Malawi for the account of the 2nd day of group A.
Anouar Frendy (two goals), Ismail El Ouaryry, Mohamed Ghailan and Ibrahim Ibakly (two) scored the national team’s seven goals in this match.
Thanks to this victory, the second in this competition after that against Mozambique (3-1) on Sunday, Oumar Sylla’s men secured their place in the last four by ranking leaders of group A (6 points).
To qualify for the final, the Moroccan selection will have to dismiss in the semi-final the team ranked 2nd in group B, which includes Senegal, Egypt, Uganda and Madagascar.
