The Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mohammed Sadiki, met on Wednesday in Rabat with the Minister of Environment and Climate Change of the United Arab Emirates, Mariam Almheiri, ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the agro-food sector.
“Relations between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates are historic and fraternal relations which represent a model to be followed at all levels, whether in the social, technical or scientific field,” Sadiki said.
He also took this opportunity to highlight the many fruitful partnerships, rejoicing at their “very significant” impact, particularly on the agri-food sector in Morocco.
For her part, the Emirati minister, on a working visit to the Kingdom, praised the centuries-old relations and the mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation, expressing her country’s desire to establish new partnerships with Morocco, particularly in the fields environment, the fight against climate change and food security.
In this sense, she said that food security will be one of the crucial themes that will be addressed during the COP28 to be held next year in the United Arab Emirates.
