Marrakech and Rabat designated host cities

The cities of Marrakech and Rabat will host the matches of the Confederation of African Football Women’s Champions League, scheduled from October 31 to November 13, CAF announced on Sunday.

The competition, in which AS FAR will take part, will be played at the HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan sports complex in Rabat and at the Grand Stade in Marrakech, said the African body in a press release published on its website.

The final of the tournament will take place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah sports complex in Rabat, the same source said.

Eight clubs will take part in Africa’s biggest women’s football club competition. Group A includes the host club, AS FAR, bronze medalists in the last edition, Simba Queens SC (Tanzania), Green Buffaloes (Zambia) and Determine Girls (Liberia). Group B includes Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Bayelsa Queens (Nigeria), Wadi Degla (Egypt) and TP Mazembe (DR Congo).
