Germany team win 2022 Nations Cup

The German equestrian team won the 2022 Nations Cup on Sunday, as part of the second stage of the 11th edition of the Morocco Royal Tour, organized from October 13 to 16 at the Royal Complex for Equestrian Sports and Tbourida in Dar Es -Salam in Rabat, under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI.

Composed of riders Nicola Pohl, Sophie Hinners, Rene Dittmer and David Will, the German team won the title after finishing the various races with 13 penalty points. She beat the French team, made up of Olivier Perreau, Jeanne Sadran, Charles Henri Ferme and Simon Delestre, who came 2nd with 16 penalty points.

Third place went to Switzerland with 23 penalty points, while the Moroccan selection, made up of riders Abdelkebir Ouaddar, Abdessalam Bennani Smires, Majid Djaidi and Samy Colman, occupied fourth position with 24 penalty points.

The Nations Cup, the 2019 edition of which was won by the Egyptian team, saw this year the participation of 12 countries, namely Germany, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, l Egypt, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland and Morocco.

At the end of this competition, the Cup was awarded to the winning team and the prizes to the teams that completed the podium.

Organized by the “Morocco Royal Tour” of show jumping, under the aegis of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Equestrian Sports (FRMSE), this edition of the Morocco Royal Tour sees the participation of the best riders representing the national clubs affiliated to the FRMSE, alongside eminent foreign riders, including Olympic medalists and world and continental champions.

The Rabat stage is the second of the Morocco Royal Tour, an unmissable international equestrian event, after that of Tetouan (from October 6 to 9). The third stage of this international show jumping circuit will take place from October 20 to 23, 2022 in El Jadida.
