Casablanca derby: WAC wins and takes the lead in the standings

Wydad de Casablanca, defending champion, won the 133rd derby in the economic capital, beating Raja Casablanca on Sunday, October 23 at the Mohammed V sports complex, with a score of 2 goals to 1.

WAC’s goals were scored by Aymen Hassouni (53′) and Arsène Zola Kiaku (80′), while Raja’s goal was scored by Mohamed Nahiri (90’+1 sp)

Note the captain of the WAC, Yahia Jbrane, had missed a penalty at 9′.

With this victory, the Reds managed to dissolve the only point that separated them from the leader’s chair, temporarily occupied by FUS Rabat. With 14 points now, they alone lead the general classification of the Botola Pro D1.
