
Here are five key points from Bank Al-Maghrib’s (BAM) weekly indicators for the period from October 20 to 26:
1- The dirham appreciated by 1.62% against the US dollar and depreciated by 1.04% against the euro.
2- No auction operation was carried out on the foreign exchange market.
3- The overall outstanding balance of BAM’s interventions amounts to 104.9 billion dirhams, including 50.8 billion dirhams in the form of 7-day advances on call for tenders, 30.9 billion dirhams of outstanding long-term repos delivered and 23.2 billion dirhams of long-term guaranteed loans.
4- As of October 21, 2022, official reserve assets stood at 337.6 billion dirhams (MMDH), down 0.3% week-on-week and up 4.4% in year-on-year. 5- On the interbank market, the average daily volume of trade stood at 4.7 billion dirhams and the interbank rate stood at 2% on average during this period.
