Akhannouch and EIB Vice-President discuss ways to develop bilateral cooperation

The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, received this Tuesday, October 18, the Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), Ricardo Mourinho Félix, who is on a working visit to Morocco.

This meeting was an opportunity to emphasize the importance of the partnership between Morocco and the EIB and to examine the means of strengthening it and supporting the strategies developed by Morocco, under the leadership of the King Mohammed VI, aiming in particular at the reform of the public sector, the acceleration of the deployment of the digital transition project and the simplification of the procedures and services of the Public Administration, indicates the department of the Head of Government.

Akhannouch, on this occasion, praised the action of the European Investment Bank in the context of the pandemic, by setting up mechanisms which have made it possible to speed up the simplification of project approval procedures and the disbursement of aids.

It should be noted that this visit takes place in a context marked by the particular interest that the government has in improving the business climate and in encouraging and attracting investment, as an essential lever for the promotion of national economy, through the new investment charter, in accordance with royal guidelines.
