792 MDH of investments planned in 2023

The investments planned by the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) in 2023 amount to 792 million dirhams (MDH), according to the report on public establishments and enterprises (EEP) accompanying the draft finance law (PLF) next year.

“The three-year projections in terms of investment are set at 792 MDH in 2023, 800 MDH in 2024 and 805 MDH in 2025”, specifies this report published on the website of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

And to recall that the provisional investment program for 2022 totals 784 MDH, the commitments of which will be used to carry out the strategy to revive the activity presented by the ONMT during its Board of Directors held in June. 2022.

The said report also indicates that the investments made in terms of payment, including carryover credits, reached an amount of 247 MDH at the end of June 2022, while the closing forecasts count on 519 MDH.

As for 2021, the ONMT, on forecasts of 992 MDH, achieved an envelope of 968 MDH (97%) in terms of commitment and 776 MDH in terms of payment (80%). The main projects undertaken concern partnership contracts with airlines, tour operators and travel agencies, as well as the purchase of space dedicated to the international campaign.

Indeed, the Office has developed, in 2021, a system for relaunching tourist activity both in terms of marketing strategy and sales, involving the entire profession, in particular the National Confederation of Tourism (CNT) and the Centers Regional Tourist Offices (CRT), with a view to accelerating the resumption of tourist activity and strengthening partnerships with foreign and national operators.

The year 2021 was also marked by the implementation of a new brand architecture, highlighting three main categories (Visitmorocco, “Ntla9awfbladna” and the institutional brand “ONMT”, with a new visual identity and an adapted platform specific).
