Morocco and IOM launch an e-learning platform

The National Commission responsible for coordinating measures to combat and prevent trafficking in human beings has launched, in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), an e-learning platform dedicated to training modules on human trafficking in Morocco.

Developed within the framework of the “African Regional Program for Migration”, this training comes in the wake of the efforts made by the National Commission and the IOM as a technical partner, with a view to strengthening the capacities of the institutional actors concerned and the civil society working in the field, as well as any other interested person.

According to a press release from the Commission, this training, accessible via the link www.formationtraite.net, offers eight free online learning modules on the subject of human trafficking, in French and Arabic.

These modules are mainly based on Law 27-14 on the fight against trafficking in human beings, the international legal standards contained in the Palermo Protocol, as well as various national and international principles and guidelines in this area.

Thus, each learner will have the opportunity to follow the training modules at their own pace, cumulatively regardless of time and place, and will be certified by the National Commission responsible for coordinating measures aimed at combating and preventing trafficking in persons and the IOM after a final Quiz, concludes the same source.
