Liverpool hooked by Fulham in opening

The promoted Fulham managed to make equal play against Liverpool who had to settle for a draw (2-2) on Saturday at Craven Cottage, on behalf of the first day of the English football championship.

After a first period marked by a goal signed Aleksandar Mitrovic, in favor of the locals half an hour into the game, Jürgen Klopp called in the heavy artillery by bringing in his new star, Darwin Nunez. A choice that turned out to be wise since the Uruguayan gave Liverpool a draw in the 64th minute.

But Mitrovic returned to the charge eight minutes later by obtaining a penalty which he converted successfully to restore the advantage to his team.

However, Mohamed Salah managed to earn a draw for the Reds in the 81st minute, limiting the damage for his side who are considered among the title favorites this season.

The first day of the Premier League will continue during the weekend, with in particular a displacement of the other big favorite, Manchester City, Sunday on the ground of West Ham.
