exports up 30.1% in the first half

Automotive sector exports amounted to 52.84 billion dirhams (MMDH) in the first half of 2022, up 30.1% compared to a year earlier, indicates the Foreign Exchange Office.

These exports thus reached their highest level during the same period in the last five years at the end of June 2022, specifies the Office in its recent note on the monthly indicators of foreign trade for the month of June. Nevertheless, the share of sales in this sector in total exports fell by 2.1 points, adds the same source. At the end of June 2022, exports of goods stood at 215.07 billion dirhams against 152.35 billion dirhams a year earlier, an increase of 41.2%.

The said note explains that this increase concerns all the sectors, at their head, phosphates and derivatives, the automobile sector, that of agriculture and agri-food and that of textiles and leather.
