833 active cases nationwide, including 26 cases admitted to REA

As of Wednesday, August 17, the epidemiological report from the Ministry of Health reports 833 active cases of Covid-19, under treatment nationwide. Similarly, 8,123 tests were carried out in 24 hours, bringing the national total of tests since the start of the pandemic to 12,359,188.

In addition, Morocco has not recorded any deaths due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. The national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic therefore remains stable at 16,269, as does the fatality rate, which stands at 1.29%.

Still in its daily epidemiological report, the Ministry of Health reports 26 severe cases admitted to intensive care nationwide. The cases under artificial respiration stand at 7 cases while 3 others are under intubation.

In addition, and as indicated by the MoroccoLatestNews monitoring and monitoring platform, www.moroccolatestnews.com, the Kingdom has identified during the past 24 hours, 109 new confirmed Covid-19 cases, bringing the national total of contaminations proven to be 1,263,700. The occupancy rate of resuscitation beds dedicated to Covid-19 is 0.5%.

Morocco has also recorded 152 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,246,598 remissions. The cure rate, this Wednesday, stood at 98.65%. With regard to vaccination, 24,886,315 people have been vaccinated with D1 since the launch of the campaign, including 23,377,973 having received D2, 6,728,579 D3 and 34,685 D4.

The Ministry of Health thus invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
