7,584 tests carried out in 24 hours, and 1,119 active cases nationwide

In 24 hours, 7,584 PCR tests were carried out in Morocco for a national total of 12,331,397 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. Thus, active cases under treatment nationwide increased to 1,119 cases (0.09%).

In its epidemiological report for this Saturday, August 13, the Ministry of Health reports 40 critical cases admitted to intensive care nationwide, including a new admission in the last 24 hours. In addition, Morocco has recorded one death due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, in the city of Oujda-Angad (Oriental regions), bringing the national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic to 16,268. The case fatality rate stands at 1.29% this Saturday.

Morocco has also recorded 208 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,245,986 remissions, while the recovery rate stood at 98.62% this Saturday.
