6,350 tests carried out in 24 hours, and 939 active cases nationwide

In 24 hours, 6,350 PCR tests were carried out in Morocco for a national total of 12,343,729 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. Thus, active cases under treatment nationwide stand at 939 cases (0.07%).

In its epidemiological report for this Monday, August 15, the Ministry of Health reports 35 critical cases admitted to intensive care nationwide, including one new admission in the last 24 hours. The occupancy rate of resuscitation beds dedicated to Covid-19 stands at 0.7%. Similarly, 3 cases under intubation were identified on Monday while the total number of cases under artificial respiration stood at 9 cases.

In addition, Morocco has not recorded any deaths due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. The national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic therefore remains stable at 16,269, as does the fatality rate which is still at 1.29%.

Morocco has also recorded 158 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,246,283 remissions, while the recovery rate stood at 98.64% on Monday.
